The new Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 comes with new features and tools suitable for new web-design principles and trends. Responsive web design as well as browser compatibility problems will no longer be tiresome or problematic if a web developer uses Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. In this tutorial, I’m going to illustrate how a web developer can test his or her website across a spectrum of the various modern web browsers available today.
Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 has an advantage because it has the capability of understanding the relationships of all the various web pages created along with its multimedia files such as images, videos, PDFs and so on. The software has the ability to detect broken links or missing files which helps designers to take note of and fix these kind problems before they publish their websites.
It’s important for any web designer to ensure that his or her website maintains consistency across all popular web browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari etc. Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 comes with the Browser Compatibility Check feature that helps designers detect any CSS related display issues across various browser versions. The Browser Compatibility Check function detects and checks CSS compatibility on various web browsers (Firefox 1–3; Internet Explorer (Windows) 6.0–8.0; Netscape Navigator 7.0–8.0; Opera 7.0–9.0; and Safari 1.0–3.0). The Browser Compatibility check will display any problems detected on the Results panel. A description of the problem along with a link is displayed on the CSS Advisor section of the Adobe website where the CSS Advisor displays all the confirmed display issues.
